When Papa Mengo played at our Sixties themed birthday party a couple of years ago the feedback was so good that they were the automatic choice for our post-wedding celebration event. We asked them for a range of music from driving rock dance music to smooches to blues with a touch of jazz from every one of the last four decades and they came up trumps. Great empathy with the audience and when we have another party they will be our first port of call. Thanks, guys.

Papamengo gave us the most incredible party to end our wedding! The talent and energy from the band was incredible, the playlist was perfect, the vocals from Lavinia were just stunning, and, led by Michael's dynamic personality, the band ensured that for most of the evening every single one of our guests was on the dance floor having a great time. And when they weren't dancing, they were writing comments in our guest book about how great the band was! Thank you for helping to give us the best night imaginable - the perfect way to end a very special day!

We had a ball, thank you! The band were great, music sets were perfect for dancing and fitted exactly with what we needed for our sixties theme. They participated fully in our programme, providing the lighting and letting us use the sound system for our interim sixties music as well as Grace McInerny's backing tracks for Summertime and Son of a Preacher Man.
We also appreciated very much their responsiveness to requests, particularly when my daughter sprang Sweet Alabama on them at the last moment! We will be delighted to recommend Papamengo to our friends and you will be pleased to know that we mentioned your website on the "Thank you" section of our party programme which all guests received.

I just wanted to email you to say a massive ‘thank you’ for the great entertainment you provided Jules and I with on our Wedding evening. Please also pass on our thanks to the rest of the Band.
Everyone we have spoken to who was there in the evening has commented on how good the Band were as well as the music between sets.
Jules and I certainly had a great time dancing and I think everyone else did as well from what I can remember!

Just wanted to say thanks again for last night - had a lot of people commenting how good the band were, asking for details, cards etc so hopefully you guys will get a couple more bookings out of it as well.
Was great to see everyone enjoying themselves, especially as it's not the kind of event we usually put on (we don't have any space indoors really). Thanks for your co-operation in dropping the noise levels as well... neighbours can be a pain sometimes.
Maybe next time we'll get those steel drums down...
